Earned (“Earned”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and aims to collect and process only the information reasonably necessary to operate and improve our service.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit or use Earned at earned.lol and any related services operated by us.

2. Information We Collect
We aim to minimise the amount of personal data we collect. Depending on how you use Earned, we may process the following categories of information.
2.1 Technical and Operational Information
When you access Earned, our hosting, infrastructure, security, or content delivery providers may automatically process limited technical information necessary to deliver and protect the service.
This may include information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device or operating system information;
- request date and time;
- pages or resources requested;
- error and security logs; and
- similar technical information.
We do not intentionally use this information to create detailed profiles of individual visitors.
Some technical information may be processed automatically by our infrastructure providers even where Earned itself does not permanently store that information in its application database.
2.2 Aggregate Product Interaction Statistics
Earned may measure interest in certain product features, including interactions with buttons or calls to action.
Where possible, we design these measurements to operate on an aggregate basis.
For example, we may record that a particular feature button was clicked a certain number of times during a period.
We do not intend to associate these aggregate feature-interest statistics with:
- your name;
- your email address;
- a persistent advertising identifier;
- a cross-site tracking profile; or
- a detailed history of your activity.
These aggregate statistics are used to understand product demand and prioritise development.
2.3 Information You Submit to Us
If you contact us, submit a correction, claim or submit a company, report an issue, or otherwise communicate with Earned, we may receive information you voluntarily provide.
This may include:
- your name;
- email address;
- company or organisation;
- the contents of your message;
- supporting links or evidence;
- information relating to a company profile; and
- other information you choose to provide.
Where a field is optional, you are not required to provide it.
2.4 Account Information
If Earned introduces user accounts, we may collect information necessary to create and maintain those accounts, such as name, email address, authentication information, account preferences, and information associated with features you choose to use.
If account functionality materially changes the types of information we collect, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
2.5 Company and Business Information
Earned collects and organises information about companies and businesses. This may include company name, website, logo, industry or category, founding year, headquarters or location, business stage, revenue-related information, funding information, rankings, publicly available company descriptions, and other business-related information.
Information relating solely to a legal entity or organisation is generally treated as business information rather than information about an individual.
However, some business information may also relate to identifiable individuals, such as founders, directors, employees, sole proprietors, or named business contacts. Where such information constitutes personal data under applicable law, we process it accordingly.
3. Sources of Information
Information displayed or processed by Earned may come from company websites, publicly available sources, third-party data providers, publicly accessible databases, company representatives, users submitting corrections or information, information provided directly to Earned, and our own analysis, classification, calculations, or estimates.
We may combine information from multiple sources in order to improve accuracy.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information for purposes including:
- providing and operating Earned;
- displaying company profiles and rankings;
- maintaining and improving data quality;
- responding to enquiries and correction requests;
- preventing abuse, fraud, or security incidents;
- debugging and maintaining technical reliability;
- understanding aggregate interest in product features;
- developing new features;
- complying with legal obligations; and
- establishing, exercising, or defending legal rights.
We aim not to collect or retain personal information where aggregate or non-identifying information is sufficient for the relevant purpose.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Earned may use cookies or similar technologies where they are necessary for functions such as security, authentication, maintaining sessions, saving essential preferences, or preventing abuse.
If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies that require additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will update our practices and provide appropriate controls where required.
We do not intend to use feature-interest measurements to create cross-site advertising profiles.
6. Sharing of Information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate Earned, such as providers of cloud hosting, databases, content delivery, security, email, authentication, error monitoring, and infrastructure services.
These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services to us and subject to their applicable contractual and legal obligations.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order, or lawful governmental request; where reasonably necessary to protect Earned, our users, or others; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of all or part of our business; or with your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell personal information as part of Earned's current business model.
We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as part of Earned's current business model.
7. International Processing
Some service providers used by Earned may process or store information outside Malaysia.
Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to use service providers and arrangements consistent with applicable data protection requirements.
The countries in which information is processed may have data protection laws different from those in Malaysia.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including operational, security, legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information. For example, correction requests may be retained while necessary to document and resolve data quality issues; correspondence may be retained for a reasonable period following resolution; security logs may be retained for a limited operational period; account information may be retained while an account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter; and aggregate statistics that no longer identify an individual may be retained for product analysis.
Where information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymise, or aggregate it.

We take reasonable steps to maintain the accuracy of information we process.
If you believe personal information about you is incorrect, or if information displayed on a company profile is inaccurate, you may contact us or use our correction process.

Depending on applicable law and your circumstances, you may have rights relating to your personal data. These may include rights to request access, request correction, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, object to or restrict certain processing where applicable, request deletion where applicable, and make enquiries or complaints about how your personal data is handled.

11. Information About Children
Earned is a business-information service and is not designed or directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect unnecessary personal data from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Earned in circumstances where it should not have been collected, please contact us.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No internet-based service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Third-Party Websites
Earned may link to websites operated by companies, data providers, or other third parties. We do not control the privacy practices of those third parties. Your use of third-party websites is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Earned, our data practices, service providers, or applicable legal requirements.
When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page and provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate or legally required.
