Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Earned, including earned.lol, related pages, features, data, rankings, content, and services operated by Winson Loh (“Earned”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using Earned, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the service.
1. About Earned
Earned is a company discovery, data, and ranking platform. Earned may provide information including company profiles, business categories, founding information, company stage, revenue-related metrics, rankings, historical information, estimates, comparisons, trends, and other company-related information.
Some information may be sourced from third parties or public sources, while other information may be calculated, classified, estimated, or produced by Earned.
2. Informational Purpose Only
Earned is provided for general informational and research purposes.
Nothing on Earned constitutes financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, valuation advice, an offer to buy or sell securities, a recommendation to invest in or transact with any company, or a guarantee regarding the financial condition or future performance of any company.
You are responsible for conducting your own research and obtaining professional advice where appropriate.
3. Company Information
Earned may obtain company information from a variety of sources, including official company websites, publicly available materials, third-party data providers, company representatives, user submissions, publicly accessible databases, and Earned's own research or analysis.
Information from different sources may conflict, be incomplete, become outdated, or contain errors. Although we aim to maintain useful and reasonably accurate information, Earned does not guarantee that every company profile or data point is complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
4. Revenue and Financial Metrics
Revenue-related information displayed on Earned may have different levels of verification. Depending on the company and data available, a metric may be directly provided or verified, derived from third-party information, publicly reported, inferred, modelled, or estimated.
Where Earned identifies a metric as estimated, the figure should be understood as an approximation rather than an audited or company-certified financial statement.
Even verified or externally sourced figures may differ because of reporting periods, accounting treatment, currency conversion, refunds, taxes, payment processing, subscription definitions, revenue recognition methods, timing differences, or changes after the information was collected.
Users should not treat Earned metrics as audited financial statements unless expressly stated otherwise.
5. Rankings
Earned produces rankings according to its own methodology, eligibility criteria, available data, classifications, and ranking rules.
A company's ranking may depend on factors such as revenue range, company category, business stage, founding cohort, available comparable companies, data freshness, ranking eligibility, and the filters or league being viewed.
Rankings are relative to the companies included in the relevant Earned dataset or ranking universe. They do not necessarily represent every company that exists in the relevant market or industry.
Ranking positions may change when company data changes, additional companies are added, companies become eligible or ineligible, categories or stages change, data is corrected, revenue changes, methodology changes, or Earned improves its coverage.
An Earned ranking is not an official certification, regulatory rating, credit rating, investment rating, or guarantee of company quality. Further information is provided on our Methodology page.
6. Estimates, Classifications, and Editorial Judgments
Some information on Earned may involve interpretation or classification. For example, Earned may determine or assign a primary category, business stage, revenue league, founding cohort, comparison group, or other classification.
These classifications are designed to make companies easier to discover and compare. Reasonable people or data providers may classify the same company differently.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, such classifications represent Earned's methodology rather than an official designation by the relevant company.
7. Corrections
We welcome good-faith corrections. If you believe information about a company is inaccurate, you may submit a correction through the correction mechanism provided by Earned or contact us at hello@earned.lol.
We may request evidence supporting a proposed correction. Submitting a correction does not guarantee that Earned will make the requested change. Earned may evaluate conflicting evidence and determine which information to display.
We may also retain internal records relating to corrections, previous values, or source provenance where reasonably necessary to maintain data quality and integrity.
8. Company Claims and Submissions
If Earned allows companies or representatives to claim, edit, or submit profiles, you represent that information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge; you have authority to submit the information; you will not impersonate another person or organisation; you will not knowingly submit false or misleading information; and your submission does not violate the rights of another person.
Earned may review, reject, edit, verify, or remove submitted information. A claimed profile does not mean Earned endorses, certifies, or guarantees the company.
9. Accounts
Certain Earned features may require an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the security of your credentials, activity conducted through your account, and promptly informing us if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security, legal, or operational risks.
10. Acceptable Use
You may use Earned only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to Earned or its systems; interfere with the operation or security of the service; intentionally overload or disrupt our infrastructure; bypass technical access controls; upload malware or malicious code; impersonate another person or company; submit information you know to be materially false; use Earned to harass, defraud, or unlawfully harm another person; reproduce substantial portions of Earned in a way that substitutes for the service; systematically extract data in violation of these Terms or applicable law; or use automated means in a manner that materially harms, disrupts, or burdens the service.
We may use reasonable technical measures to prevent abuse.
11. Intellectual Property
Earned and its original materials, including its software, interface, design, branding, ranking presentation, proprietary classifications, original written content, methodology, compilations, and other original materials, may be protected by copyright, trademark, database, and other intellectual property laws.
Company names, logos, trademarks, and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Display of a third-party name or trademark on Earned does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or affiliation unless expressly stated.
12. Third-Party Data and Services
Earned may rely on or link to third-party websites, APIs, datasets, services, or providers. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, policies, or conduct. Third-party services may be governed by separate terms.
13. Availability and Changes
Earned is continuously evolving. We may add or remove features, modify rankings, change methodology, update company information, change eligibility criteria, change the appearance or organisation of the service, suspend parts of the service, or discontinue features.
We do not guarantee that any particular feature, ranking, company profile, data point, or service will always remain available.
14. Beta and Upcoming Features
Earned may display previews, experimental features, early-access functionality, or references to upcoming functionality.
A button, preview, or announcement relating to an unreleased feature does not guarantee that the feature will be released. Features may change, be delayed, or not be released at all.
15. No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Earned is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We make no guarantee that the service will always be available; every data point will be accurate; rankings will remain unchanged; estimates will match actual company results; third-party information will be error-free; or the service will meet every user's particular requirements.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Earned and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from reliance on the service, including losses arising from reliance on company information, inaccurate or outdated information, rankings, estimated metrics, business or investment decisions, third-party services, interruption of the service, or loss of access to data.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where limitation or exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.
17. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, if your unlawful use of Earned, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights causes a claim against Earned, you agree to be responsible for losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising directly from that conduct.
18. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or suspend access to Earned where reasonably necessary to protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, respond to security incidents, or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate, we may permanently terminate access for serious or repeated violations.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Earned evolves. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the current version became effective.
If a change materially affects registered users' rights or obligations, we may provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate. Continued use of Earned after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law in your jurisdiction.
Subject to applicable mandatory law, disputes relating to these Terms or Earned will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
